Direct Connectivity
If you haven't already, soon you will find out that trading with us is unique!
At Frontel, our goal is to provide our clients a direct, fast, reliable and transparent trading experience. And you may ask how, please explain?
Trading Direct
Frontel does NOT manipulate market prices nor does it use spreading mechanisms. What you see in your platform is what we get from liquidity providers. Furthermore, we have empowered your trading with direct connectivity through FIX API - Finance Inter-exchange Protocols Application Programming Interface - to all your price providers thus reducing price and order execution latency issues a great deal!
This same latency factor is discussed in more details in the Strategies section.
In order to better explain the implication of direct connectivity vs. intermediary fill, we will use the following graphics as an example:
Intermediary Fill
Direct Connectivity
As latency may vary with market activity, the most important latency measures are taken at peak times when the systems are experiencing high loads. Loads during these peak times can be much higher than average and it is important for market participants to ensure the performance of the venues they choose is satisfactory during these conditions. SmarTrader trading system proactively monitors latency throughout the trading day to calibrate its models and spot problems before they impact customer trading especially when strategy trading is employed.
Reliability
Feel good with Smart Route: Your orders are managed by direct connectivity to market makers but also by more than just one route, especially if you have opted to use our Smart Route.
If you did not get the chance to explore our Smart Route, here is a brief overview:
Smart Route requires all available liquidity providers in the platform to be registered. Then it scans prices coming from all these routes and only provides the best of prices or the lowest Asks and the highest Bids.
If one of the registered routes fails then Smart Route will use the remaining ones while it has already flagged the failed one for maintenance.
Transparency
As mentioned earlier, what you see in the platform is what is actually happening in the market. In other words, we communicate market data to you as is!
On the other hand, take the example of sending orders through the Order Entry Panel; what you will notice there is that for whichever instrument you select, all relevant information is shown to you right away. Thus you do not need to find out what is the contract size or margin requirement from a web site etc...
They are:
Margin requirement
Maintenance margin
Frontel's commission
Leveraged value
Premium for Options trading
Contract Expiry details
Etc...
